Kara Kozhukattai

Servings : 4

Things Needed
Rice : 2 Cup
Coconut : 3 Tablespoons
Temper : Mustard,Urad Dal, Red Chilly and Curry Leaves
Oil
Salt
Hing

Preparation
1. Soak the rice in water for 30 minutes and transfer the rice to a cloth and let it sit there for few minutes. When there is little moist in the rice grind the rice without adding water.(The mixture should be in a texture like rava). Keep it aside.
2. Take a pan and add in oil and add the items to temper(Red Chillies are the ones that makes the dumpling spicy, add them based on your taste). Now add in the water and salt needed. Once the water starts to boil add in the coconut then the rice flour.
3. Mix the mixture well so that no lumps are formed. Once the mixture looks thick(like upma consistency) turn of the stove.
4. Start preparing the dumplings in any shape and size you want. Steam the dumplings for 15 minutes until the dumpling gets soft and cooked. Serve it hot with spicy chutney.
