Puffy Chapathi

Chapathi is a flat bread made with wheat flour. I learned making chapathi in my periamma’s home. My periapa used to teach me how to make Chapathi. He is very particular about the size and thickness of the Chapathi 😜. To make soft chapathi no need to add milk or hot water or any other ingredients. Try out the below procedure and share your comments if the chapathi comes soft for you.

Things Needed
Wheat Flour : 2 Cups ( Aashirvad Atta)
Water
Salt

Preparation
1. Take the wheat flour and transfer it to a wide bowl. Add in salt and mix the flour with salt .
2. Add in water little by little and knead the dough with your fist 👊. Knead well, chapathi becomes soft by kneading process.
3. Once the dough becomes soft, close the dough and keep it aside for few minutes.
4. Now Knead the dough again and make small balls out of it. Take a small cup of flour and keep it for making chapattis.
5. Take a ball and press it with your palm in the flour front and back. Then roll it with the chapathi roller in a round size. Don’t take too much of flour and don’t press too hard while rolling.
6. Heat a tawa and add the flat dough to the tawa. Once you see bubbles flip it front and back.

Soft and Tasty Chapthi is Ready!!!! This chapathi can be had with any of the side dish. In my next post I will share side dish for chapathi recipe.
